Modified sine wave inverters have been around for a long time, and are gradually losing ground to the pure sine inverters. As the cost of pure sine inverters keeps coming down, you will see less and less of these inverters. Modified sine inverters are cheaper, but produce a rougher electrical wave that can harm some sensitive equipment. Now they are primarily used for RV's, camping, and simple uses around cars and mobile vehicles. Although we no longer promote them for serious Off-Grid use, there are still many people who need one now and then, so we still carry some of them in stock. So if you need a cheap inverter to do simple things, here they are.
