About 10 Years ago, I started to think about how nice it would be to live out in the country and be self-sufficient. My wife and I purchased a nice country piece of property, planted an orchard, and next thing you know, I was hooked! The more I studied living off-grid, the more I liked it, and after ten years of studying and research, I realized that it might be good to share what I’d learned with other people.
Although I love to research off-grid living, I have learned that it takes forever to hunt down where everything that I need is. I might have to go to 30 different web sites sometimes in search of a special part, or a specific piece of technical information. So I decided that I would try, as much as possible, to put everything that people need to create a homestead under one roof. “My Homestead Marketplace” is the fruit of that dream. It is my hope that not only will it be a fun web site for me, but more importantly, that it will become one of your favorite web sites as well.
I know that everyone’s needs are different, and that every homestead is different, but maybe in all of my efforts, you will find most of what you need without having to look too hard, and maybe even have fun learning about new products, fun products, and even re-learning some of the old ones. Homesteads that are properly developed can be one of the most wonderful places that we know. I know it’s been wonderful for me. Go ahead, enjoy the journey with me, you’ll be glad you did.
